Northrop Grumman“™s integrated systems sector will provide three unmanned aerial vehicles to the U.S. Navy, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

Under a $25,709,758 modification, the company’s integrated systems sector will provide the fifth lot of lot low rate initial production of Fire Scout take-off and landing tactical UAVs and one ground control station.

The Army and Navy both use the Fire Scout.

Fifty-five percent of the work will occur in Moss Point, Miss. and the rest in San Diego.

The Pentagon expects work to finish by December 2013 and the Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity.
