General Dynamics‘ C4 Systems unit is set to open its 12th U.S.-based facility for industry and academia to help deliver technologies to military and civilian customers.
The Falls Church, Va.-based contractor said Thursday the Fort Bliss, Texas-based EDGE Innovation Network is scheduled to open on May 24.
Engineers based at the Fort Bliss center will work to develop a network that services all battlefield functional areas and is integrated with the joint force, said Chris Marzilli, president of C4 systems.
Marzilli added that the company has been present in Fort Bliss for nearly a decade.
The facilities are an information hub for technologies for soldier-worn network communications and military vehicles, the company said.
In January, the company announced the opening of a new cybersecurity and intelligence center based near Fort Meade, Md., home to the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command.
