Oceus Networks Inc. has won a $7,804,428 Navy contract modification to install communications equipment on ships and aircraft, the Defense Department announced Thursday.
The Reston, Va.-based firm will install wireless maritime command and control communications systems on three Navy ships and one H-1 rotary helicopter.
The company will also help the Navy test and evaluate the equipment.
Work will occur both inside and outside the continental U.S. and the Pentagon expects work to finish by December 2013.
The Naval Air Warfare Center’s Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, N.J. is the contracting activity.
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is on the winning team of a potential $22.5 million contract to support the Navy’s activities in San Diego for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence.
Work will also support foreign military systems.
