Fluor Corp. will provide front-end engineering and design services for a new natural gas terminal located in Malaysia.
The Irving, Texas-based construction firm said the terminal will provide gas to a nearby 300-megawatt cycle power plant located in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
PETRONAS Gas Berhad awarded the contract to support the liquefied natural gas regasification terminal.
The company added it will seek help from local subcontractors and suppliers for various support services.
The company did not provide financial information regarding the contract.
Joule Unlimited recently selected the company to design a renewable fuel production facility in New Mexico.
That facility is intended to test and scale up liquid fuel production processes with energy conversion technology.
