Serco Inc. won a $9 million contract to provide technical support for the U.S. Army’s military trend forecasting system, according to a company announcement.
The Reston, Va.-based contractor will operate the Army’s Active Army Strength forecaster system under the five-year contract, which includes one base year and five one-year options.
The A2SF system provides a seven-year strength forecast each month of political and military climate factors such as budget, wartime requirements and military compensation entitlements.
The forecasts support the Army“™s seven-year budget process, personnel management decisions, congressional inquiries and policy decisions.
Serco will also provide operations and maintenance support, data conversion, information assurance and security training solutions to support the A2SF system.
The company also won a $19 million contract Wednesday to support the Navy with ship and short activity logistics.
