Northrop Grumman Corp. has signed a teaming agreement to become the U.S. federal dealer and preferred special mission integrator of a Quest Aircraft Company plane.
The Falls Church, Va.-based contractor said Monday the companies will invest to integrate the Air Claw special mission demonstrator with Quest’s Kodiak aircraft.
Bob Gamache, Northrop’s operationally responsive systems director, said state, civil and international agencies will use the platform for operations in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
The Kodiak is a single-engine, short takeoff and landing plane.
Quest manufactures the 10-place, turboprop utility airplane in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Integration work for the Kodiak will occur at Northrop’s Martin State Airport facility in Baltimore.
Northrop won a nearly $11 million Air Force contract Tuesday to operate the National Air and Space Intelligence Center“™s databases, web-based products and related systems.
