The state of Massachusetts is looking to award a $750 million contract for a network services project, Deltek“™s GovWin blog reported Friday.
The state released a formal solicitation March 7, more than seven months after releasing a request for information.
According to Deltek, the award will be divided amongst 31 different vendors.
The contract would replace four current statewide contracts for communication network services, services and equipment, remote access and virtual private networking and Internet hosting and access services.
The state will break services into four areas including:
- Voice services
- Connectivity and bandwidth services
- Cellular services
- Managed services
Vendors can submit proposals for as many areas as they wish and the state hopes to award the contract by late June.
The state will hold a bidder“™s conference on March 15 and responses are due by April 24.
