Intelligent Decisions Inc. has established a research and development office in Huntsville, Ala. to support Defense Department space and missile defense activities.

ID said in an announcement Thursday it is providing communications equipment to an Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center laboratory in Huntsville under a multi-million dollar contract.

The equipment is for unmanned aerial systems programs, joint intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and technologies in military and civilian agencies.

ID President and CEO Harry Martin said the Huntsville office is part of the company’s plan to expand in Northern Alabama.

The company has similar offices in Orlando and Tampa, Fla. and Dayton, Ohio.

Thirty-year science and technology veteran Wilbur “Bo“ Parker will lead office operations.
