Boeing Wins Air Force Space Vehicle GPS Funds - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing has won a $14,462,422 Air Force contract modification to fund two space vehicle contract line item numbers for fiscal year 2012, the Defense Department announced Friday.

The cost-plus-award-fee contract will fund launch operations support and on-orbit operations support.

Work will occur in Seal Beach, Calif. with an expected completion date of Dec. 31, 2012.

The Space and Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles is the contracting activity.

The Seattle-based contractor won $2 million from the Air Force Research Laboratory in December to support a reusable booster system flight and ground experiments program.

The company started work on requirements and concepts for the RBS vehicle in Huntington Beach, Calif.
