General Dynamics‘ Electric Boat subsidiary won an $8,252,118 Navy contract modification to develop equipment for low pressure electrolyzers used on nuclear-powered submarines.
General Dynamics said the contract has a potential cumulative value of $881 million through 2014 if all options are exercised.
The Defense Department said Electric Boat will complete the design and assembly phases of the Advanced Integrated Low Pressure Electrolyzer Development Qualification Program.
