Cubic Corp. has appointed James Edwards as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, the company announced Thursday.
Edwards, who joined Cubic in February 2008, will manage acquisitions and other U.S. and international business transactions. Edwards will also focus on intellectual property, Securities and Exchange Commission filings and regulatory compliance.
Edwards was previously vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Cubic’s transportation group and assistant general counsel and assistant secretary of Cubic.
Before joining Cubic, Edwards was senior vice president and general counsel at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and served as a senior legal counsel for Qualcomm.
He also held general counsel positions at Qualcomm’s Wireless Knowledge subsidiary, General Atomics and Logicon.
