
Frank Smith III serves as senior vice president and chief information officer at Booz Allen Hamilton.
Smith is also a co-chair of the CIO Leadership Council, which guides the priorities and investments of the firm“™s technology infrastructure.
Smith is responsible for supervising and coordinating the design, acquisition, maintenance and use of the company’s information technology programs.
He has more than 30 years of technology-related experience as well as areas of business innovation, accounting, operations, integrated technology management and communications.
Prior to joining Booz Allen’s leadership team, Smith spent time in Paris as the global CIO for Capgemini Ernst & Young. He was responsible for the company’s global infrastructure and information security programs.
Smith is a recognized speaker and has presented at national and international conferences, seminars and broadcast events. In addition, he has published numerous articles and contributed to books on information systems and advanced technology subjects.
He speaks four languages and is a volunteer member of the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group.
Smith earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
