GDIT Secures Potential $26M Contract for Oceanic Resource Support - top government contractors - best government contracting eventGeneral Dynamics“™ information technology business unit has won a task order potentially worth $26.2 million from the Interior Department“™s bureau of Safety and Environment Enforcement, according to a company announcement.

Under the task order, GDIT will provide mission-specific applications and infrastructure to support the Offshore Energy and Minerals Management program, which manages oceanic energy resources.

The company said it will maintain and develop new applications, infrastructure and operations support while integrating the new system.

OEMM is responsible for more than 1.7 billion acres of the Outer Continental Shelf.

According to the release, 43 million acres are currently being leased to the private industry for oil and gas enrichment accounting for roughly 27 percent of the U.S.“™s crude oil production and 15 percent of its natural gas.
