
Kevin Green currently leads IBM“™s Department of Defense and intelligence community business, which works with the armed services, joint commands, defense agencies and the intelligence agencies.
In this position, he is responsible for providing coordinated technology, consulting and systems integration services.
Previously, Green led IBM“™s global business services defense and intelligence industry account, the GBS Navy and defense agencies accounts and served as director of DoD strategic accounts.
Prior to joining IBM in 2004, Green served as a Naval officer for more than 30 years. He completed his naval career as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for operations, plans and policy.
As a flag officer, he commanded the Naval Forces’ U.S. Southern Command, the ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Battle Group and the Naval Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois. He also served in the Office of Secretary of Defense, Atlantic Fleet Headquarters, the Bureau of Naval Personnel and as commander of Destroyer Squadron 23 as well as the guided missile frigate, USS TAYLOR.
Green also consults with the Defense Science Board, the National Academy of Sciences and the Council on Foreign Relations.
Green graduated from the United States Naval Academy, the National War College and received a M.S. in applied science from the Naval Postgraduate School.
