Cisco has named former Juniper Networks executive Paul Mankiewich as the new chief technology officer for Cisco’s mobility business, according to a CED Magazine report.
Maisie Ramsay wrote that Mankiewich oversaw Juniper’s end-to-end network architecture and that company’s installation of its products into operator networks.
He’ll now serve as CTO for service provider mobility in Cisco’s mobile internet technology group.
Mankiewich previous served in multiple CTO roles for Alcatel-Lucent for more than 10 years.
Mankiewich will split his time between company operations at its headquarters in San Jose, Calif., New Jersey, its Massachusetts mobility division and its facilities in India, according to the report.
