Neustar rolled out today its Text Everywhere service which allows communication service providers to offer text messaging, using SMS or short messaging service, on network-connected devices. This service enables users to send and receive text messages from devices such as televisions, IP desk phones, netbooks and tablets.

Text Everywhere is an IP-based service that allows a new avenue for collaboration. Other features include SMS auditing for businesses, parental controls and seamless integration for operators requiring no extra equipment. This service is the first to be commercially available.
