Neel Mehta
Bill Holcomb is director of national ISR programs for MITRE in McLean, Va.
Holcomb has been with MITRE for more than 25 years, working in his current position since 2001 when he moved from Bedford, Mass.
In Bedford, Holcomb was the associate technical director for the space, intelligence and information operations division. This organization focused on Air Force intelligence and information operations.
Prior to moving to Bedford, Holcomb managed MITRE“™s support to the National Photographic Interpretation Center.
Holcomb began his career at MITRE at its Greenbelt, Md. site, where he supported various aspects of NASA“™s spaceflight tracking and data network.
Prior to joining MITRE, he worked for CSC, where he managed a group responsible for the operational attitude control of a number of scientific satellites.
He holds a bachelor“™s degree from Ohio State University and a doctorate in physics from the University of Minnesota. He did postdoctoral work at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Oxford University, and at the University of Pennsylvania. His area of research was theoretical many body physics.
