Cisco announced a series of safety and security innovations powered by a Medianet architecture supporting Cisco’s strategy to offer solutions-oriented services-led approach so that customers can build highly scalable network-bases security systems.
Included in the innovations is Cisco’s enhanced Video Surveillance Manager 6.3.2 which has a new high density Physical Security Storage Series platform enabling better video management. Cisco is extending its Medianet Services Interface software to certified video surveillance partners automating and streamlining Cisco’s method for network recognition, configuration and monitoring.
As part of Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities initiative, Cisco has also introduced new communications interoperability solutions that assist in real-time communication for firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and public safety professionals. Cisco IPICS is a dispatch solution enabling rapid, reliable communication using any desktop or mobile device.
