Capgemini, Sybase, a SAP company, and SAP reported they will be working together in a mobility enterprise venture with multiple agreements and prospective plans to tackle the growing market.
Sybase and Capgemini will manage the deployment of enterprise mobility solutions. This will allow Capgemini to host Sybase Managed Mobility-powered solutions as software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service.
Additionally, Capgemini and SAP announced their intention to jointly build differentiated mobility solutions. This will enable Capgemini to make SAP mobility solutions available to its customers.
“We believe now is the time to expand into this market in cooperation with SAP and Sybase, leveraging our expertise and knowledge in mobile solutions,” said Fernando Alvarez, vice president and mobile solutions practice leader at Capgemini. “We are able to offer one of the most complete suites of SAP solutions available on premise or as a service, providing multiple options to meet customers’ needs from licensing to implementation, hosting and operation.”
The agreements aim to bundle software services and reduce costs for Capgemini’s end-to-end mobile solutions.
“Mobility is a real game changer for the enterprise and we anticipate that 1 billion people will be unlocking additional value from their SAP back-office systems via their mobile devices and tablets,” said Chris McClain, senior vice president of global mobility and Sybase solutions for SAP. “Working with strategic partners like Capgemini is critical to helping SAP unlock this value for our customers.”
