
Chuck Robel, former chairman of the board of McAfee Inc., has been appointed to the Palo Alto Networks board of directors, the network security company announced today.
Robel is an industry veteran with nearly 40 years of experience in the areas of finance, corporate governance and technology strategy to his new appointment. His career includes a 26-year stint with PricewaterhouseCoopers and serving as chairman of the board of McAfee Inc., the largest dedicated security technology company in the world, from 2006 until its $8 billion sale to Intel in February of this year. He also served as a general partner and chief operating officer at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, a venture capital fund focused on early stage software company investments, from 2000 to 2005.
