
William Phillips currently serves as principal and leader of the federal advisory practice at KPMG LLP.
In this position, he is responsible for the development and execution of the unit’s business strategy and operations for clients across the federal government. He oversees the group’s client services, which include financial management improvement, strategy, IT security and internal controls, and supply chain management.
Previously, Phillips held various leadership roles within IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Phillips has provided consulting services to DoD, as well as former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s financial transformation task force. He is a certified government financial manager and a member of the Association of Government Accountants and the American Society of Military Comptrollers.
Phillips earned his M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary and received his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College.
