Maria Darby is senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton. Her responsibilities include leading the firm“™s communications business, including capabilities in organizational communications, stakeholder relations, change communications, public and media relations, social media, and risk communications.
Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton in 1998, Darby served as vice president of Advanced Technology Laboratories Inc., vice president of Apex Technologies, communications and outreach manager at Dynamic Corporation, and communications project lead for International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades.
The executive has over 30 years of experience in assisting federal clients in developing and implementing communications and change management strategies. She leads communications strategy and change management efforts for a variety of DoD strategic initiatives.
Darby serves as a thought leader and advisor on multiple DoD communications plans and campaign topics ranging from Wounded Warriors to recruiting and retention of military personnel. She is an active member of Public Relations Society of America and graduated Magnum Cum Laude with a bachelors of arts in public communications from Wheeling Jesuit University.
