Gary Garber is the vice president of Human Resources at Avaya Government Solutions. Garber is responsible for leading all global human resource activities in support of the firm. Other tasks include driving the overall talent strategy, workforce planning talent sourcing and recruiting.

Prior to his current position at the firm, Garber served as its vice president of Global Talent Management. His responsibilities included the design and execution of global culture change and initiatives to drive organizational, capability agility and high performance.

In 2009, Avaya acquired Nortel“™s Enterprise Solutions business where Garber was vice president of human resources. He was recruited to Nortel“™s Human Resource Leadership Development program in 1996 and has held multiple corporate HR roles.

Garber has a masters degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. He also attended the London School of Economics and Political Science as a recipient of the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship. He holds a bachelors of arts degree in political economy from Michigan State University.
