Dell announced the opening of its Herndon Solution Center Tuesday to help customers test their IT solutions and lower their technology investment risk.
The center is Dell“™s second in North America and its fifth center globally, with Dell planning to have 22 centers in the future. The Herndon center is part of a previously announced $1 billion investment in data and solutions centers worldwide.
“The opening of the Herndon Solution Center emphasizes Dell“™s evolution to a services and business solutions company,“ said Richard Pineda, vice president for Dell Services Federal Government. “It will also serve as the venue to helping federal and other local customers identify solutions that will help them reduce costs and find greater efficiencies.“
The center gives customers like the federal government a nearby location to ensure solutions like Dell“™s Digital Forensics application will work in their IT environments.
Dell architects will help design workshops based on the customers“™ specific organizational needs and help customers identify ways to make their IT installations more efficient and reduce costs.
