Siemens CorporationSiemens Appoints New VP for Federal Lobbying - top government contractors - best government contracting event announced today David McIntosh has been appointed vice president for federal lobbying, where he will oversee legislative and regulatory issues within the company“™s government affairs office. McIntosh will assume his position June 27.

Prior to joining Siemens, McIntosh served as a senior political adviser to Administrator Lisa Jackson and the associate administrator for congressional and intergovernmental relations at the Environmental Protection Agency.

In this position, he was responsible for leading the agency’s interactions with members of Congress and state government officials in addition to serving as Jackson’s lead political strategist on climate policy and Clean Air Act implementation. He has also served on President Barack Obama’s Presidential Transition Team and acted as counsel and legislative assistant for energy and the environment for Sen. Joseph Lieberman.

“David brings world-class experience to Siemens, a $25 billion company in the U.S. and one of the country’s largest employers,” said Kathleen Ambrose, senior vice president of government affairs. “From energy, to industry and healthcare, David will help lead the advocacy efforts of the Siemens government affairs team.”

McIntosh graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and began his career as a law clerk to a U.S. District Court judge in Washington, D.C. He lives in the area today and will conduct his work from Siemens Corporation’s new U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C.
