
In a career with Ernst & Young (now Capgemini) spanning 30 years, Lanny Cohen“™s emphasis on combining quality clientele management with strategic business development has earned him renowned praise within the IT industry. As CEO for Capgemini North America Technology Services, Cohen is a main leader of the company“™s adaptive enterprise and adaptive IT vision, a position to which he brings impressive expertise.
After receiving his bachelor“™s degree with dual majors from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University, Cohen went on to graduate from the executive leadership programs at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and Harvard University. His first position at the Justice Department placed him in charge of the financial and program management of federally funded block and discretionary grant programs, and set the stage for his illustrious career with Ernst & Young.
Cohen has received numerous award and accolades for his work within the company, including the Executive Council“™s Judges Choice Award for CEO and Innovation of the Year as well as being named one of Consulting Magazine“™s Top 25 Most Influential Consultants for 2004. His attention to client service has led him to hold many executive leadership positions within Ernst & Young, including years of service on the Americas Executive Committee and as an instructor in the firm“™s professional development and education program.
Outside of Ernst & Young, Cohen is a strong supporter of higher education, serving as a trustee of the board of St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York in addition to formerly serving as treasurer of the Association of Management Consulting Firms, the consulting industry“™s professional association.
