Jim Burke serves as corporate vice president of Harris Corporation, with responsibilities that include developing and implementing the company“™s brand, messaging, media relations, Internet, annual report, senior management communications and various other communication initiatives.
Before his career in PR, Burke was an award-winning reporter, writer and associate editor with multiple newspapers and trade magazines in the D.C. metro area. He went on to become president of communications for AuthenTec, and senior vice president of Edelman. His other roles include communication specialist for IBM and director of media relations for Harris.
Burke is a member of many clubs, including the Arthur Page Society, the Seminar, the National Press Club and the Aerospace Industry Association communications committee.
He holds a bachelor“™s degree in mass communications from Towson University.
