Cubic Corporation has been ranked as the No. 1 aerospace and defense company by Avitation Week & Space Technology, the leading aerospace and defense weekly in publication.
Cubic beat out 55 companies, including 30 in its own category, for the Aviation Week honor, which has been rating aerospace and defense firms since 1996.
Rankings are based on a propriety metrics system developed by Aviation Week and A&D analysts that compares companies“™ performance in their peer group across four categories: Return on Invested Capital, Earnings Momentum, Asset Management and Financial Health, were the criteria used to determine the leading companies.

Founded in 1951, Cubic is credited with the development of a wide range of critical tracking technologies, including missile tracking systems and networks that are able to transmit video and sensor data anywhere on Earth. The company reported revenues exceeding $1 billion for the first time in 2009.
