Because of the consistent and aggressive cyber threats by criminals, companies have a hard time keeping up with malicious attacks. To help alleviate some of the issues, Symantec has introduced two new security solutions to counter advanced persistent threats.

Symantec“™s Endpoint Protection 12 offers companies the protection they need to detect and block known and new cyber threats. During product testing, the software showed a 90 percent reduction in disk use, producing a ten-fold increase in consolidation density.

Symantec“™s other security solution, the Symantec Protection Center 2.0, is a centralized security management console that will enable organizations to identify emerging threats, prioritize tasks and accelerate time to protection-based actionable intelligence.

In an Internet Security Report last year, Symantec revealed the existence of 286 million malicious programs, which is an average of more than nine new threats every second of the day. Web-based attacks increased 93 percent, mobile vulnerabilities went up 42 percent, and more than 6,253 new vulnerabilities were discovered.
