Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has released a new report detailing its recent corporate responsibility efforts, noting the company“™s accomplishments in ethics, sustainability and diversity among a host of others.

“Raytheon continues to strengthen and broaden its commitment to corporate responsibility, and our gains have been measurable and meaningful,” said Raytheon Chairman and CEO William H. Swanson. “Our results are a credit to the strong support of our board, our leadership and our 72,000 employees.”

Highlights of the new report:

  • Raytheon“™s focus on independent board oversight, accountability and transparency has helped boost its overall governance approach, as well as open communication with shareholders.
  • According to a recent company survey, a majority of employees rated the company“™s ethics education as relevant and useful.
  • Last year, the company was recognized by Minority Engineer and Equal Opportunity magazine for the the company“™s commitment to hiring and promoting a diverse work environment.
