Consulting and IT firm ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI) announced today it has completed work on its Personal Identity Verification Interoperable smart cards and has submitted them to the federal government.
ICF“™s cards were submitted through its collaboration with Symantec“™s Public Key Infrastructure team.
“Deploying our own PIV-I solution positions us to provide private-sector clients with the same identity, credentialing and access management services that we have been providing to our federal PIV clients,“ said William Jacob, senior vice president at ICF International. “We believe that the implementation of Symantec“™s PIV-I solution will be important to ICF International customers.“
As a result of the Symantec partnership, ICF is now positioned to issue PIV-I smart cards to federal agencies, government contractors, and state and local governments. The firm“™s smart-card certification also positions it to provide solutions with other organizations that do business with the federal government, including the Defense Department, the firm said.
