
Melissa Hathaway, a leader in cybersecurity, will speak at the American National Standards Institute Caucus Luncheon in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 12.
Hathaway leads her own firm, Hathaway Global Strategies, LLC, and works with the Harvard Kennedy School“™s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
She has held a number of high-profile positions, including senior director for cyberspace at the National Security Council.
Hathaway led President Obama“™s 60-Day Cyberspace Policy Review, which found that as much as $1 trillion was lost every year in intellectual property due to cyber crime.
Hathaway authored a white paper for the cyber news and policy website The New New Internet about the five myths of cybersecurity, which can be downloaded here.
The caucus will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club.
