NetWitness Corporation has announced specifics for the 2nd Annual NetWitness User Conference, set for Oct. 25 and 26 in Washington, D.C.

According to the firm, “the conference is a meeting of the minds for some of the world's most advanced network security professionals. This year's event will focus on solving two critical problem areas for government and commercial organizations: 1) detecting and stopping emerging threats associated with zero-day malware and advanced data leakage, and 2) lowering business risk by empowering security teams to obtain real-time answers to the most complex security questions.”

The conference will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The event is open to NetWitness customers, prospects and partners, as well as members of the firm’s extensive freeware community.

NetWitness points to a number of events and experiences attendees can expect, including:

  • Learn about new ways to detect and stop the most advanced threats and attacks using NetWitness
  • Improve their depth of understanding of more complex features of the NetWitness framework, including FlexParse, rules creation and other uses of the programming interface
  • Learn about new features such as the recently launched NetWitness Visualize, upcoming and planned product developments
  • Meet with key NetWitness development, engineering and executive staff
  • Exchange ideas, implementation, and operational use cases and best practices with fellow NetWitness federal and commercial clients, partners and freeware community users
  • Dramatically improve security and incident response skills and learn new and valuable uses for NetWitness
