Anonymous Continues Cyber Attacks Until it Stops 'Being Angry' - top government contractors - best government contracting eventHacker group Anonymous won’t stop cyber attacking anti-piracy advocates and other nemeses until it has stopped “being angry.”

In an interview yesterday with PandaLabs, an organizer of Anonymous said the collective’s mission was to fight back against the anti-piracy forces. Explaining how the group had been provoked by the U.K. Digital Economy Bill and “‘three-strikes legislation in the EU,” he added the attacks would “keep going until we stop being angry.”

The assaults by Anonymous began after Indian security firm Aiplex Software launched DDoS attacks on the servers of file-sharing sites such as The Pirate Bay. Anonymous retaliated with its own DDoS attacks, first hitting the websites of the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry Association of America, then shifting focus to Aiplex and ACS:Law, a law firm that represents rights holders.

Affirming that the group advocates piracy, the Anonymous organizer called the act the next step in a cultural revolution of shared information.

“Imagine it as the beginnings to an information singularity; a beginning of true ‘equality of opportunity,’ regardless of wealth or capacity,” he said. “I would not have gotten anywhere near my accomplishments today without the books I pirated. I can“™t afford them!”

Despite often referred to as members of 4chan, the Anonymous organizer said some from his group frequent the popular imageboard, “but we have no affiliation with any forum or website for that matter. We simply use them to communicate.”
