Salient Federal Solutions, led by CEO Brad Antle, has acquired SGIS from Skillstorm.
Antle previously served as CEO of SI International before it firm was acquired by Serco. Antle was picked by ExecutiveBiz as a “Person to Watch“ in 2009.
“(SGIS) is a solid platform, that's what (Salient) needs for more rapid growth,“ Antle told ExecutiveBiz in an exclusive interview. “We now have a foundation upon which we can invest in accelerated growth because is has a great culture, an ideal customer set, and an infrastructure capable of supporting that growth. “There aren't many perfect companies out there like this one, that will help us get to $500 million in the next five years.“
According to the Salient, the acquisition supports the company’s aggressive growth plans to build a world-class federal IT and engineering solutions company, and leverages its management and operational expertise to support high-priority missions of the federal government.
Founded in 2002, California-based SGIS provides technology-focused services and solutions to the federal government the areas of IT, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, engineering, training, and logistics. The firm is today a $100 million business with 675 employees in 14 offices nationwide.
Among the firm's list of clients are the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community, NASA, NOAA, and Department of Justice.
