Job Description: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) New Campus East (NCE) Active IT Program was established to provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the NCE facilities. A senior Storage Area Network (SAN) engineer is needed to support NCE activities.
The Senior SAN Engineer will:
“¢ Understand NCE-ActiveIT requirements
“¢ Gain familiarity with client's current data center infrastructure.
“¢ Deploy and Maintain the Storage Architecture for client -NCE
“¢ Implement the Detailed Storage Design for client -NCE
“¢ Implement Detailed Storage Design for client-NCE
“¢ Present redline changes and augmentations to the architecture and implementation plans to Engineering Review Board for approval.
“¢ Perform integration proof of concept testing as required
“¢ Communicate ,via PowerPoint and orally, changes and augmentations to architecture and integration plans to internal (other IPTs) and external (client IPTs) customers in a clear manner.
“¢ Execute implementation plans
“¢ Provision LUNs
“¢ Ensure storage capacities at the proper tier are made available to NCE on time.
“¢ Provide weekly status reports to the Control Account Manager (CAM) for storage and the Storage Services IPT Lead Engineer/Architect…
