Police in the Hubei Province, China, have closed down a hacker training center and arrested three individuals, according to XinhuaNet.

The three individuals, who ran the Black Hawk Safety Net, are accused of providing hacker tools, which was recently made illegal in China’s criminal code.

The Black Hawk Safety Net has recruited more than 12,000 VIP members, collecting around 7 million yuan in fees for membership. An additional 170,000 users have registered for free with the organization.

The Chinese are often accused of being behind hacker efforts against foreign companies and governments. Earlier this year, news reports suggested a hacking attack against Google emanated from China.
