70s flashback! Remember China Grove? Or Black Water? On Nov. 22, you’ll get the chance to hear these and other Doobie Brothers hits when they perform live at The 2008 Kidney Ball.
As in years past, the event is slated to attract more than 1,100 of the Washington, DC area’s top business, government, health, and community leader. It’s also projected to raise over $1.3 million in the fight against kidney disease. And not a moment too soon.
The Washington, DC area leads the nation in the prevalence of kidney disease, with more than 500,000 people affected, 5,800 on dialysis, and 1,700 waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant. The Kidney Ball is the National Kidney Foundation“™s largest one-day fundraiser, raising funds to support medical research, patient and community services, professional education, and organ donation awareness in the DC region.
