U.S. Rep. Tom Davis Not Seeking Reelection
The Technology sector will be losing a good friend in the House of Representatives now that Tom Davis has announced he will not be seeking reelection. As chair of the powerful House Government Reform Committee in past years, Davis was one of the leading experts on government and defense contracting issues on Capitol Hill. He was instrumental in the passage of various technology and procurement bills, including the Y2K Act, Digital Tech Corps Act, the E-Gov Act of 2002, the Federal Information Security Act, the Critical Infrastructure Information Act and the Services Acquisition Reform Act. Davis formerly served as vice president and general counsel of PRC Inc., a technology and professional services firm in McLean. Read more on our blog.
