Exec Spotlight: Stan Sloane, CEO of SRA

Last spring, Stan Sloane took over being President and CEO at SRA International Inc. from Renny DiPentima. Like many government contractor executives, he has a Navy background. He was on the USS John F Kennedy and USS Eisenhower.

Right now, the company’s revenue is approximately $1.6 billion. In an exclusive interview, we discuss his growth strategy for SRA. Click here to read the interview.

"I'm always looking for outside organizations to join where I can learn important lessons or hear about other people's experiences that I can apply to my job. That's certainly been the case with ExecutiveBiz. What I especially like is the smaller, more focused gatherings which allows you to get deeper on a particular subject and the very diverse membership. It's helpful for me to hear from folks in different markets and professions."

    Executive Predictions BACK TO TOP

We asked the following leaders in the government contracting space their prediction for 2008.

    Mike Nigro
    Mike Nigro

"We believe three areas will be critically important for our clients next year. Security is still number one with increased focus on protecting the privacy of personal information. IT optimization/virtualization with emphasis toward “green technologies” and performance integration against budget planning and execution will both be strong emerging areas for 2008."

-- Mike Nigro, CEO of PPC

    Harry Martin
    Harry Martin

"Preemptive security, such as code/application hardening, and resolving trust issues will take center stage in government IT in 2008. The intersection of IT policy with data security technologies will pose new challenges and opportunities for end users and providers alike. Entrepreneurial approaches focused on adapting emerging technologies to customer needs will be in high demand."

-- Harry Martin, CEO of Intelligent Decisions
